Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FFmpeg API Cloud ("we", "us", "our") and the related website, dashboard, APIs, and services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Accounts and credentials
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys. You must notify us promptly if you believe your account or keys have been compromised.
The Service
The Service provides managed media processing infrastructure, including FFmpeg- and FFprobe-based jobs, file handling, usage metering, and related tooling. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue part of the Service at any time.
User content
You retain ownership of the files and outputs associated with your workloads. You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and store that content solely to operate and improve the Service. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit that content.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive activity;
- submit content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- attempt to bypass product limits, sandbox boundaries, or security controls;
- use the Service to distribute malware, mine cryptocurrency, or execute unrelated code;
- interfere with other users, our infrastructure, or third-party providers connected to the Service.
Billing and credits
Some features require payment. Unless stated otherwise, usage is billed through prepaid credits. We may deduct credits based on measured runtime and other posted pricing rules. Purchased credits are non-refundable except where required by law.
Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including cloud infrastructure and payment processors. Your use of those third-party services may also be subject to their terms and policies.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the Service or its users, or if we are required to do so by law.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free processing, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FFmpeg API Cloud will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we are established, excluding conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
