About FFmpeg API Cloud
FFmpeg API Cloud is a developer-first media processing platform built around FFmpeg, Cloudflare Workers, R2, and Containers. We make it easier to run common video and audio workflows through a managed API instead of maintaining your own encoding fleet.
What we focus on
- Async FFmpeg jobs with predictable request and result models.
- Template tools for common workflows such as trimming, resizing, compression, thumbnails, and audio extraction.
- Metered billing based on runtime seconds so costs track actual workload.
- Secure execution boundaries for raw FFmpeg and FFprobe requests.
How the platform works
- Upload source files to managed storage.
- Create a job with a constrained FFmpeg or FFprobe argument array.
- Execute the workload inside isolated containers.
- Collect outputs, metadata, usage records, and webhook callbacks from one API.
What we believe
- Media infrastructure should be programmable, not a collection of manual scripts.
- Billing should follow compute usage closely enough that teams can model cost per request.
- Advanced users should be able to access raw FFmpeg safely without getting shell access.
