The API uses structured JSON errors so you can handle invalid requests and failed jobs predictably.

Request errors

Validation failures return an error body with:
  • error
  • code
  • details

Common cases

  • Invalid request payload
  • Unsafe FFmpeg arguments
  • Missing or invalid API key
  • Insufficient credits

Runtime failures

A job can still be created successfully and later finish with failed. In that case:
  • the create request returns 202 Accepted
  • the job status later becomes failed
  • the result and detail endpoints show the terminal state
